The 2nd biennial exhibition of The Little Paper Slipper - a socially engaged, ever-growing paper shoe installation made by women living in refuges who have experienced domestic abuse.
About
Join us for free drinks and celebrations at our 2nd biennial exhibition:
Opening night on Friday 23rd September 7pm - 9pm, including a special performance from poet Sooz Belnavis, the unveiling of the LPS House: a gallery-within-a-gallery, food from Ottolenghi +more.
The exhibition features an installation of over 100 unique papier mâché shoes created by women living in refuges. Each shoe speaks with its own voice, while together they tell of how it's possible to take a negative aspect of society and, through imagination, turn it into something beautiful — just as the women draw on their experience of domestic abuse to create positive and empowering works of art.
Little Paper Slipper is a small charity that gives a creative voice to women affected by domestic abuse, and makes that voice heard. Find out more:www.littlepaperslipper.com
