The Keep & Share Traveling Store
About
The2-day event will be topped off by a party with live folk and psychedelia in collaboration with Down at the Red Bricks.
Amy Twigger Holroyd's sustainable knitwear label Keep & Share is based in rural Herefordshire and mainly trades via the website, www.keepandshare.co.uk. However, from time to time they like to jump in their van and set up the Travelling Store, a 'pop-up shop' which appears for just days at a time. The London date is part of an autumn tour which will also take in Hereford and Nottingham.
The label offers unconventional, yet infinitely wearable, knitwear for both men and women, ranging from scarves and slippers to chunky wraps and jumpers. Each piece is designed to satisfy over time, and is lovingly knitted in Herefordshire by Amy and her small team of makers. The label also offers sub-collections such as the Eco Edition line, created from naturally coloured, organic and local yarns.
With free entry, all are welcome at the Saturday night party to celebrate the end of the tour and the start of the festive season. Amy has called on old friend Lee Gorton to provide the soundtrack to proceedings. As the brains behind Down at the Red Bricks, Lee has been putting on nights of nu folk and fun-loving psychedelia around London for the past two years, and for this event is planning live acoustic loveliness intermingled with records played by Lee and Amy's husband (and erstwhile DJ) Simon.
