The third of our Artspace Openspace events, The Island will be open to the public on the 14th, 15th and 16th October. The full programme is below.
FRIDAY 14th OCT
14:00 – 19:30 The Island Studio Holders Showcase Exhibition in The Gallery
19:30 – 23:30 The Island Venue presents The People’s Comedy – The Venue Basement. Entry from £7.50. Booking recommended.
SATURDAY 15th OCT

12:00 & 14:00 Guided Tours of the Building Meet in Nelson Street Foyer
13.00 A Taste Of Ballet, dance taster class – Dance Studio (Bridewell Street Entrance)
14.30 The Art Of Contact Improvisation, dance taster class – Circus Studio (Nelson Street Entrance)
11:00-12:40 & 13:00-14:40 Invisible Circus No Dress Rehearsal – Basement Venue. See the beginnings of the Island when it was first occupied by Artspace Lifespace 15 years ago. Entry is Free but donations to the filmmakers’ Patreon will be requested.
10:00-03:00 Basement Venue & Cells
A night of Funk & Soul, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Jungle and more.
20:00-22:00
Join six Bristol based artists as they combine each of their unique practices to create a one-off performance.
Live music, painting, projected illustration, life drawing and drag.
