About

Using The Ingram Collection of Modern British Art, the exhibition will explore the impact of the fishing town of St Ives in West Cornwall, which became a centre for modern and abstract developments in British art from the 1940s to the 1960s. The exhibition will feature works by Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Paul Feiler, Terry Frost, Patrick Heron, Roger Hilton, Peter Lanyon and Bryan Wynter. This group show of works by artists from The St Ives School also marks 125 years since Ben Nicholson’s birth in 1894.
