We are delighted to announce the winners of our Winter ‘24 Whole Studio Takeover Open Call Ivet Monova, Marta Burhan, Samuel Capewell, Didi Hu, Rudi Noble, Otis Chetwynd-Woods, who are curating their own Whole Studio Show ‘The Horse and Trap’.
“Six of us are relocating our practice to the rooms of RuptureXIBIT for a week-long takeover.
In this period, the exhibition site and the objects within it become material for work made amongst them.
The viewer becomes conscious of the process of the artist, they are led into a constant ‘conversation’ that fluctuates daily. Those that choose to interact define the causation of creation.
Upon entering ‘The Horse and Trap’ one can expect entropic traces of performance; Bodies merging with material and performance objects that build each day, getting picked up and being put down again.
From 31st January until 4th February the space becomes exposed to extensive materiality. Upon visiting RuptureXibit in this period, you will find performance employing bodies, environment and objects, sound-image installations responding to live sound, film and video, kinetic objects, and more notably, echoes of mutated instruments.'“
