Welcome to the Cosmic Care Home
The Cosmic Care Home

We operate our Home in a transparent, open manner. We are just off the shelf, and we therefore welcome visitors and inspections from all relevant regulatory bodies, of the shelf, or otherwise. Our care, within the Cosmic Care Home, is a home for the Gold Ones.

Gold Ones care has been Helping Hands specialism since time began, and we are the market leaders in this field. Our live-in care Hands means that all of the Gold Ones continue to receive care in a familiar surroundings. There familiar, with them at all times. To talk things through. Hands on. Hands on hand at all times. Means that the Gold Ones receive the care they need.

Here, for the Gold Ones is now. We take into account their lifestyle and routines. Each one of the Gold Ones, has different needs and we care for them differently. Our live-in care Hands work with them to ensure that they continue to live an independent and omnipresent life. In their own places, outside of time. Whilst still receiving the live-in Helping Hands that they need.

Here at xero, kline & coma it was intended that you would get to know the Gold Ones through the documentary that is currently in production. When Max Gold’s video transmission came through in 2014, he named himself as ‘one of the Gold Ones’, and so we set about working backwards to find out who they were. After tracking Max for a period, we began filming in the space we now understand to be the Cosmic Care Home (CCH). We have remained in what could be described as the outer or back spaces of the CCH, looking through the walls that are at times transparent, or listening in on voices from the other side. This is where the Gold Ones live, and despite their existence on a higher spiritual plane, beyond the limitations of time – the place they inhabit resembles what we would describe as a ‘total institution’. They appear to be predominantly cut off from a wider community, and lead an enclosed and bureaucratically controlled existence. What we have here is some semblance of the outer perimeter of the CCH. The next instalment at Gallery North in Newcastle (February 2016) will access the body of the CCH.

Reactor creates scenarios that assemble new collective realities where audiences and those involved with the group co-participate. Through ongoing research into belief systems and their place in collective action, Reactor explores the ways in which culture and common beliefs hold together specific social groups. Reactor is an art collective, currently made up of three core members (Bruce Asbestos, Phillip Henderson and Niki Russell) and an undisclosed number of secret members. Recent projects include: ‘Windsock’, Aid & Abet (Cambridge, UK), ‘Reactor Halls’, Primary (Nottingham, UK), ‘Max Gold PAYPERVIEW’, Eastside Projects (Birmingham, UK), ‘Log!c ?stem’, Flux Factory (New York, USA), ‘Dummy Button’, KW Institute for Contemporary Art (Berlin, Germany), ‘MoMAMonarch’, MoMA (New York, USA).
