Twelve works of art ranging from £500 - £2000 will be put up for sale by auctioneer Jonathan Benson of Reeman Dansie at The Gift of Life. The auction is to raise awareness of the National Organ Donor Register.
About
Every penny raised will go directly towards Kidney Research UK’s ‘Making Every Kidney Count’ Appeal. This is a fund developed to accelerate ground-breaking research so that more people can benefit from a life-saving kidney transplant. With around 90% of people on the UK transplant waiting list currently in need of a kidney and with kidney disease steadily increasing, much more still needs to be done. This auction has been organised by Antonia Kimbell, whose brother and uncle have been affected by kidney disease and have both undergone transplants.
This event also aims to raise awareness of the National Organ Donor Register. Being an organ donor offers the gift of life to as many as 9 people. Telling your family members of your wishes once registered is paramount.
Artists auctioning their work include BONGSU PARK, MILES ALDRIDGE, ANDREW WILDER, BRIDGET MCCRUM, MIKI VAN ZWANENBERG, DAN SMITH, ALASTAIR THAIN, CAROLINE AYLES, CHANO MARRERO, POLLY TOOTAL, SAM HERMAN, SARAH BUTTERFIELD & CAROLINE LANG.
