The First Man is a one day solo exhibition of portraits by painter Mathew Tudor which have been completed over the last three years.

About

‘Sometimes I think that nothing makes sense. In a tiny planet that runs to nothing for millions of years, we are born in pain, we grow, we fight, we get sick, we suffer, we suffer, we scream, we die, we die. And others are born to begin the useless comedy again’.
Ernesto Sabato

Mathew Tudor is a figurative painter based in London. His work is indebted to Cubism and Expressionism. The films of Andrei Tarkovsky and Chris Marker also influence his work and thought.
He is also a Curator working with the Tunnel collective.

Public opening:
Thursday 7th February 18:30 – 21:30
