WRITING WORKSHOP
2.30pm - 5pm
Spend the afternoon with Zelda Chappel as she facilitates our first writing workshop event.
This workshop will explore 'writing in response' and ways to hone and develop instinctive writing. Suitable for all writing abilities, this workshop will give you plenty of writing time as well as some new perspectives and ideas.
Zelda will facilitate a number of short writing exercises during the workshop, which makes this ideal for poets and flash fiction writers alike. Please bring plenty of paper!
Places are strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
WORKSHOP DETAILS –
Title: Responsive Writing
Synopsis: A chance to explore reactive and responsive writing techniques, including how to hone and develop instinctive writing.
Materials: Writers to bring their own notebooks/paper and pens/pencils etc
Price: £20 per person, £17.50 for students/concessions plus free entry to the prize night.

CREATIVE SURGERIES
Throughout the afternoon
In addition to the workshop, Rosie and Zelda will be holding a series of short art and writing surgeries throughout the afternoon. These 20min, one to one discussions will focus on your art/writing and practice and are designed to invigorate, innovate or consolidate!
Come armed with a specific piece of work that you are looking for feedback on, or a wider question about your practice that you would like to discuss, and go away with some new ideas, perspectives and things to try.
SURGERY DETAILS -
Synopsis: One to one discussions to invigorate, innovate or consolidate!
Outline: 20min slots to discuss a piece of art/writing or your practice in general, leaving with some new ideas, thoughts or perspectives. Attendees will need to send the piece they wish to discuss or an outline of their questions about practice prior to the event.
Price: £10, £8 for concessions plus free entry to the prize night.
Zelda is a writer and artist. Zelda's poetry has been widely published both in the UK and internationally. Her debut collection, The Girl in the Dog-tooth Coat was published by Bare Fiction in 2015. She is the editor and curatorial partner at As Yet Untitled. Book a session with Zelda to discuss your writing.
Rosie Sherwood is an artist, scholar and independent publisher. At the heart of Sherwood’s interdisciplinary practice is a fascination with time and a desire to tell stories. In 2012 Rosie Sherwood founded As Yet Untitled and Elbow Room, successfully crowd funding to expand the publishing company in 2015. Sherwood graduated from Camberwell College of Art with an MA in Book Arts in 2013. She has taken part in both group and solo exhibitions as well as artist book and small publishers fairs. Her works can be found in special collections including The Poetry Library, Tate Library and Archive and the National Libraries of both Victoria and Queensland (Australia). Sherwood has taught at Universities across the country including University of East Anglia, Bournemouth University and the University of the Arts London.
