Immerse yourself in an evening at The Edge with our bar and gallery open until 8pm, music from talented local performer Chloe Merilla Tyghe and an arts workshop from printmaker and artist educator Victoria Willmott.
After Hours are special events which will combine a unique mix of music, activities and arts experiences. This time you can take a tour of the exhibition, get creative with adult workshops, watch Siebren de Haan & Lonnie van Brummelen’s art film Episode of the Sea, or relax with live music and friends. This special event is the perfect way to enjoy a slice of culture with your after work drinks.
MAKE: Embrace your artistic side with playful, creative activities. Explore the joy of making by using ink and objects to print and design unique postcard-size artworks ready to send. Will yours travel across borders or remain yours to keep…?
LISTEN: Enjoy evocative, moving & romantic music from local singer and pianist Chloe Merilla-Tyghe, drawing on the likes of artists such as Bat for Lashes, Lou Rhodes, Jeff Buckley, London Grammar. Playing piano since the age of four, Chloe went on to complete a Masters in Songwriting at Bath Spa University. Her recent debut album release, Cruel Girl, reveals a raw honest & clearly expresses a love of film music whilst displaying a collection of personal & heartfelt songs.
WATCH: Discover art film Episode of the Sea by Lonnie von Brummelen & Siebren de Haan. A thought-provoking examination of borders and economic regulations, building a parallel between the shifting obsolescence of traditional fishing culture and film-making itself.
