This November, Contemporary Ceramics presents a selling exhibition of nearly 80 ceramics donated by major political figure and seasoned collector Viscount John Eccles.
About
The works on show, selected by Viscount Eccles from his personal collection and created by some of the biggest names in recent British ceramics history, will be sold to benefit the Craft Pottery Charitable Trust (CPCT), which awards small
grants to ceramists to help accelerate their careers.
Inheriting a love of ceramics from his arts-minister father, Viscount Eccles began building his own collection during the 1960s, an unparalleled era for British studio pottery.
This exhibition is an unusual chance for ceramics appreciators to browse and purchase works by some of Britain’s most significant historic and living makers.
