This exhibition explores the theory ‘Sola dosis facit venenum’ (the dose makes the poison), demonstrating through a variety of art forms how anything, be it oxygen, water or even love, has the potential to become a form of poison when the dose is too high.
About
In the 16th century, the Swiss scholar Paracelsus developed the theory ‘Sola dosis facit venenum’ (the dose makes the poison), implying that it isn't the composition of a substance or idea which dictates whether it is poisonous or destructive, but the amount. In light of this, this exhibition demonstrates how anything, be it oxygen, water or even love, has the potential to become a form of poison when the dose is too high.
Curated by Margaux Bonopera, with works by Ramona Güntert, Erasmo Wong, Joshua Leon, Nora Silva, Pauline Muller Ullmo, Pierrick Mouton, Samuel Chochon, Camila Farina, Samuel Nicolle & Clara Pacotte and Martin Rahin.
