The Death of Hazel Tree

Hazel Tree is Liz as a child before trauma made her a cynical, angry and frightened adult.

Hazel created monsters, society helped her maintain them. She made them to protect herself but ultimately they hurt her.
Liz the adult is trying to defeat and commemorate them with shrines.

This exhibition explores healing, both individually and collectively and how we can do this with ritual remembrance and the building of personal and spontaneous shrines.
