The Cynthia Corbett Gallery will open its summer exhibition at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery in the heart of London’s St. James’ with a showcase for Pop Artist Deborah Azzopardi and Young Masters.

About

World renowned for the distinctive and playful pop art images she has been creating for over 30 years, Deborah Azzopardi will launch a series of new large-scale paintings at the exhibition, each one celebrating the drama and joy of the everyday. Inviting, colourful and honest, these paintings hark back to the spirit and style of her early works.

The exhibition will also bring together a series of original paintings created by Azzopardi in 2005 for a montage of IKEA prints. These were the first Azzopardi paintings reproduced by IKEA and have never been shown in public before. It is the popularity of such published images that has contributed to Azzopardi’s global success and resulted in her originals being sought-after by serious international collectors.

Young Masters is The Cynthia Corbett Gallery’s not-for-profit initiative that gives a platform to both emerging and established artists who pay homage to the skill and innovation of the Old Masters. The Young Masters exhibition showcase will include new works by Fabiano Parisi, Elise Ansel and Lluis Barba.

The Cynthia Corbett Gallery is an international contemporary art gallery which has an annual exhibition programme in London, Los Angeles and New York, as well as exhibiting at contemporary art fairs worldwide. The Gallery represents established American, British and European artists, whose carers have been nurtured since the Gallery’s inception in 2004.
