In 'The Cost of Living', a wall-mounted assemblage of paintings, photographs and objects are gathered together on the invisible boundary between art and commodity.

About

The installation has an emancipatory effect on everything within the display, as gathered objects are afforded the same respect as the paintings. But this is more than a playful language game. It is also a cynical exercise in numbers, with the price of each defined in relation to every other item. Everything is for sale, including the calculator that is used to work out the prices. However, prices are not quite what one might expect.
