Town Centre Art Trail as part of the Suffolk Festival of Ideas and The Bury St Edmunds Arts Festival. Trail features thirty professional eastern artists exhibiting art for sale in twenty nine shops, restaurants, estate agents, hotels and visitor centres in the vibrant town of Bury St Edmunds.
About
Trail blazers! Follow the Bury Art Trail for a new gallery experience in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. We are taking Art out of the gallery environment and into the heart of the town, bringing art to the public and the public to the businesses in the town centre.
Thirty of our best loved east anglian artists are participants. Names such as Maz Jackson, Dee Nickerson, Lillias August, John Glover, Lynn Hutton, Gabrielle Stoddart, Deanna Tyson, Moira Hazel, comprise just a small sample of our prodigious regional talent There are many more than we can list from all over the East of England including Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich.
The thirty artists will exhibit their artwork in twenty nine prominant windows during The Suffolk festival of Ideas and the Bury St Edmunds Festival from 8th - 27th May 2015.
The artworks will always be representative of the genre of business that is hosting them, with some lovely surprises. There has been negotiation between the artist, Hadley Exhibitions and the businesses working in partnership and sponsorship from businesses behind the scenes keen to support the arts. Paintings, sculpture, textile art, photography, print-making and kiln-fired glass are represented in this new event.
The Bury Trail Guides can be collected from The Apex Tourist Information Centre and at any of the participating venues in the town. Trail windows will be easily identified by our logo for easy identification.
