Art is the place where we try to inspire the kind of thought
and dialog that makes the world a better place. A place
where we learn to think not just with our minds, but also
with our hearts. A place where inspiration and action are
one and the same.
Mahsa Amini was an inspirational spark, one that helps us
shine a light on similar tragedies and injustices that
happen every day around the world. When we look at
Mahsa’s story, we begin to realize how similar it is to our
own.
It forces each of us to ask ourselves - what kind of story will
I choose to write?
As you spend time with this collection, surrounded by the
work, I invite you to share your thoughts, feelings and
emotions with me. This exhibit isn’t about me, or Mahsa –
it’s about all of us.
