Icebergs, Fire and Living Grass come together in Landscape Exhibition at OBS Gallery.

About

The Bright Field explores contemporary responses to landscape through the practices of a painter, sculptor, photographer, ceramicist, filmmaker and multimedia artists.  It includes a specially commissioned piece by the artists Ackroyd & Harvey, known for their artworks using living grass and paintings by Royal Academician Anthony Whishaw on an epic scale.

The exhibition investigates our relationship to our physical environment and landscape as a location for narrative and meaning;  ideas explored include ecology, energy use, perception, memory and time.  The artworks are linked by their relationship to the Romantic concept of the sublime which has been reimagined for a 21st century context.
