The Mandarin Speakers Association is proud
to showcase a body of ink painting by artists
from Heilongjiang in the Peoples Republic of
China. This exhibition follows on from the
success of their 2005 exhibition of Chinese
prints, Ode to the Black Earth. The unusual
black ink painting style has been mastered
by the artists in this northern area and is
used most often to convey the icy
landscape. A series of talks, workshops and
demonstrations by artists from Heilongjiang
William Cherry 'Boxing' will accompany this delightful exhibition.
