Installation Artist Rebecca Louise Law and Photographer Rachel Warne present 'The Beauty of Decay', a series of limited edition prints based upon six site specific artworks within the grounds of Luton Hoo Estate, Bedfordshire.
About
Law is an Installation Artist specialising in artworks made with natural materials, namely flora. The physicality and sensuality of her site specific work plays with the relationship between man and nature. Law’s sculptures seek to highlight natural change. The work evolves as nature takes its course and offers an alternative concept of beauty; embracing preservation and decay.
Warne’s photographic work is rooted in a love of Botany, a fascination for the intricate beauty of nature and it’s inevitable decline. Over the last 5 years, Warne has documented abandoned and decaying European gardens created by renowned gardeners from the early 19th century. Much of her study is concentrated on the Luton Hoo Estate’s walled garden designed by Capability Brown, which has inspired this collaboration.
Each archival pigment print on Hahnemuhle stock is an edition of 6, signed by Law & Warne.
