Artist Statement: Throughout time, the studio has always held a certain reverence for the artist. It is a unique and sacred space that encourages and enables the realisation of a vision. The work that emerges in such a setting is often intimate in nature and very telling of the path taken to reach the finished piece. This exhibition explores the rituals and processes that define the journey by the artist toward this vision, both physically and emotionally.
