About
An exhibition of paintings and sculpture drawn from The Atkinson’s collection linking art and music in innovative ways. Experience and create music inspired by the visual arts, featuring music from Vaughan Williams and Wagner to the Beatles and Neil Young and paintings and sculpture by major artists including Laura Knight, Paul Nash and Richard Hamilton.
What does art sound like to you? We are looking for your opinion, the winning suggestion will feature in the exhibition. Pictured above is a previously lost painting, Limehouse by CRW Nevinson. Does this image inspire your musical ear? What music can you hear when you look at this painting?
Thank you to everyone who suggested soundtrack to accompany the Limehouse by CRW Nevinson image. The final track chosen by A Draper was Russolo’s Risveglio di una citta ( Awakening of a city)
