The Arborealists group is a loose association of 60 professional artists, some of international reputation, who share the rich and versatile subject of the tree. This exhibition includes 10 artists from the Borders, the South and South West of the British Isles.
About
Sarah Harding is the artist who has been instrumental in bringing together the artists for this exhibition and there are two rare paintings of her own in the show. Sarah's fine egg tempera paintings are mainly sold in America with very few available in this country. Her work is representative of the world on her doorstep; from a simple apple blossom and the trees in her garden to the rolling fields and hedgerows of Shropshire.
Melissa Scott-Miller also depicts the world on her doorstep, this is urban London with it's great parks and trees amidst the brick buildings that surround the many squares and green spaces.
Most of the artists exhibiting have an international reputation and many share a passion for the ecology of trees and their significance in the conservation of our fragile, natural environment.
