You are invited to a chair-making workshop as part of Scene's exhibition 'People in Process' - where visitors can create their own 'Adhocist Chair' in response to a brief pulled out of a hat.
The workshop will be hosted by artist Adam Blencowe, whose work 'The Adhocist Chair' is featured in the exhibition, and invites you to get actively involved in the creative process, in a time- limited, brief-driven workshop. Briefs will be offered by other visitors to the exhibition in a random process allowing you as the designer to concentrate on the task ahead!
While this event is not aimed at children, families are welcome! There will be help and advice on hand to help you get the most our of the session, however small children must be accompanied! (Accompanies may join in for free!)
Participants are welcome to keep their completed work, or exhibit it as part of Scene's ongoing exhibition, exploring different approaches to creative process.
Spaces are limited so be sure to book a place, the cost of the ticket covers use of tools and access to materials.
Go on - make your own chair!
