JosédelaFuente presents ‘¡That’s You! Blurred Science’, first solo show by Nuria Fuster at this gallery.
About
The work of Nuria Fuster (Spain, 1978)often explores the relation between the world
of matter and what human beings project onto it. By means of different
processes of approach, assembly and transformation of materials, the
artist addresses those rituals, artefacts and disciplines which
demonstrate that substances and objects are vehicles of knowledge,
fictions and affections.
In ¡That's You! Blurred Science, Fuster focuses on what is
characteristic of scientific thinking and how it relates to a
specifically human way of approaching the world, in which affections
and expectations are closely tied to the perception of reality. In
this recent group of work parallels are drawn between the scientific
approach to the knowledge of matter and the hybrid human condition
where the object is the recipient of non-objective concepts.
