This exhibition celebrates the ever-evolving artistic life of inventive and prolific Singaporean artist Teo Eng Seng (b. 1938, Singapore).
About
Teo is best known for his experimentation with various mediums and his very own invention of "paperdyesculp," dyed papier-mâché sometimes mixed with other ingredients like fabric and fibre glass. Through his devotion to the centuries-old Asian medium of pulp and paper, Teo explores the boundless possibilities of material and process in his creative practice.
Beyond his dynamic body of work, Teo is also a prominent and respected advocate of the local arts scene. In recognition of his contributions to visual arts and art education, Teo received the Cultural Medallion in 1986.
