About
Trained as a photographer (graduating from the Edinburgh College of Art in 2000) with exhibitions at the former Out of the Blue site at New St. in 2003 and Inverleith House and Stills Gallery in 2004, Andrew MacDonald took up painting after completing an MSc (also from the Edinburgh College of Art, 2008) and becoming disenchanted with the photographic medium in its digital form. This is his first retrospective as a painter and much of the work here is seen for the first time.
