Teepee Glass will be showing at the SE1 Gallery in December. New work from these eight artists will include extravagant glass bowls and vessels, wall and window panels, lightboxes, and jewellery, as well as smaller items that would make unique Christmas gifts. They will be joined by Angela Thwaites, a very distinguished guest artist who has made a name for herself in cast glass. Her work in fused glass is less well known and this will be a perfect opportunity to see this aspect of her oeuvre. All glass work is set off by some beautiful pieces of Arts and Crafts furniture loaned for the exhibition by Patch Rogers of Patch Rogers Design. Teepee Glass have lined up three speakers who are set to give highly informative and entertaining evening talks. On the 12th of December the inimitable Peter Layton from London Glassblowing in London Bridge will talk about contemporary glass. On the 19th of December Angela Thwaites will be joined by Adam Aaronson, the renowned glass blower who owns the ZeST Glass Gallery in Earls Court to talk about their work. Arrive early as places are limited.
