Teacup Mosaics

Discover the fascinating technique of traditional mosaic making. Develop skills in designing, cutting and assembling ceramic mosaics to create a decorative piece that explores colour, pattern and texture. We will be drawing on the history of Valentines Mansion and its links to the East India Company so feel free to bring an old tea cup or china to smash up and incorporate into your piece; we will also provide tea cups. This workshop is part of ArtLab - a collaboration between the mansion’s resident artists Amanda Seljubac and Sadia Ur-Rehman who will be bringing their creative skills and expertise to a series of 10 workshops throughout the year to celebrate ten years of the mansion being open to the public.
