About
In the gallery this week, we present: Tanya Rynd.
Tanya Rynd is a multidisciplinary artist, curator and producer who has lived and worked in DUMBO for twenty four years. She is a pioneer artist, and business owner/partner of the acclaimed restaurant Superfine. Rynd grew up in Seattle, Washington and when she was 19, she moved to New Mexico to find the artist movement and to become a painter. She spent five years in Santa Fe and the desert painting and learning printmaking. At age 25, she moved to New York for a one year art sabbatical and never left. New York was the beginning of her career as an artist working in set design, cabaret, costume design, performance art, and collaborative art theory. Her most recent show Crow Crossing was shown at Sunny’s Bar in Brooklyn. She currently has paintings at Solid Gold Yogi/Scape Grace Art Space in Bushwick.
