About

Konstantin Grcic, the Munich-based designer studied at the RCA and is one of the most feted of his generation. He works with the design world's top producers — including Magis in Italy, Vitra in Switzerland, BD Ediciones in Spain and Emeco in the USA — to create fresh products which respond to new needs or materials. While Grcic's best known products embrace the notions of functionalism and clarity to accommodate production on a mass scale, his limited edition work is exceptional in its depth of design enquiry. For this lecture he will talk about virtual interiors, virtual reality, augmented reality and the increasingly blurred lines between real and digital spaces.
