About

Taking Shots: The Photography of William S. Burroughs Barbara Lloyd Gallery (4th floor) 17 January - 30 March 2014 William S. Burroughs was an influential American novelist, essayist and artist. Coinciding with the centenary of Burroughs' birth, Taking Shots will be the first exhibition worldwide to focus on Burroughs' little known photographic work and offers new and important insights into his artistic and creative processes. Showing a diverse mix of thematically organised works, the exhibition will highlight Burroughs' dynamic approach to image making. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Patricia Allmer and Dr. John Sears. A book will accompany the exhibition co- published by The Photographers' Gallery and Prestel.
