Taking Flight

'Taking Flight' will focus on the theme of birds and winged creatures looking to escape and fly in and out of an imaginary world. The exhibition is a collaboration between Paradise Row who aim to showcase cultural projects, highlighting urgent social and environmental needs and causes, and award-winning charity Outside In , who aim to create a fairer art world by providing opportunities for artists who face barriers due to health, disability, social circumstances and isolation. The exhibition is curated by Outside In artist and ambassador Corinne, whose ongoing struggles with mental illness mean that she works from her bed. The pieces chosen by Corinne are from Outside In's growing collection of works made by non-traditional and excluded artists, which is the first of its kind  in the UK.
