About

Director: F.W. Murnau USA (1931) Filmed entirely on location in Tahiti, with a cast of islanders, the plot is of a Tahitianfi sherman and his love for a young woman. Unfortunately for the young lovers, the island elders have rendered loving the girl as taboo to mortal men. A live soundtrack will be provided by Café Concrete's improvisational trio, ELM-K - Matthew Coombe, Neil Rose and Ben Philcox - who generate ambient soundscapes using chance, electronics and domestic objects. Café Concrete is an experimental sound collective and monthly event based in Plymouth.
