For this occasion, the two artists were invited to engage in a dialogue aimed at exploring the common ground between their respectives practices, as well as the divergences which allow their works to resonate with one another in a multitude of ways. The result of this process is an exhibition in which the artists employed a collaborative work methodology inspired by the humus, the fertile layer of the soil where decomposed matter gives birth to new life through alliances and collaborations between different organisms that nourish, grow and change with each other. The show evokes the generative power of this chemical process based on recycling and reciprocal contamination, as a metaphor for an artistic encounter that saw the two artists taking part in field trips from which different materials were obtaines, as well collaborating not only on the display of the exhibition, but also co-creating work together.
