An exhibition of paintings by Susan Brown and John Newland

About

A joint show at Mandell’s Gallery with paintings by Susan Brown and John Newland.

Susan Brown is an artist with an architectural background, she is based in Yorkshire but her subject matter and inspiration covers many cities around the world. From New York, London, Paris, Tallinn, Venice, Rome and many more, Susan explores the relationships between the environment and man. Her wonderfully animated paintings capture the busy cosmopolitan atmosphere of these major cities.

John Newland a local Norfolk artist will beautifully juxtapose Susan’s busy cityscapes. His inspiration comes from the tranquil North Norfolk landscape. John took early retirement in 1999 to devote all his time to painting. His free impressionistic style is well thought out his marks and workings are pondered and considered, sometimes, over a period of time, altered and reworked.

Mandell’s Gallery is excited to exhibit these two well established artists both with such an individual style. Together they will make a fantastic exhibition.
