About

Join us to celebrate World Storytelling Day with stories from cultures around the globe. There will also be creative activities in the galleries and Education Studio, led by Sainsbury Centre artists. Hugh Lupton, one of Britain's finest storytellers, will begin the afternoon with magical stories, inspired by objects in the Centre's collection of world art. There will also be a chance to hear Ghanaian folktales from storyteller Teddy Akrofi. Teddy's witty re-telling of the adventures of Kwaku Ananse, a spider turned into a man, is hugely entertaining and explores the richness of African culture.
