About

Tuesday 25 July
Drawing workshop with artist Christine Mills
Using a variety of tools and using ink, pencil and charcoal we will work through different approaches to mark making before moving on to full drawings where we will bring out the character of your chosen objects.

Tuesday 01 August
Willow pattern paper plate workshop with artist Christine Mills
We will design unique paper plates, creating stories and patterns inspired by the distinctive, and often elaborate blue and white, willow pattern found on historic ceramic plates.

Tuesday 08 August
Felt making workshop with artist Christine Mills
We will learn the process of felt-making working from the Twelve Tall Tales exhibition.

Tuesday 15 August
Fleet Street with artist Amy Sterly
‘Fleet Street’ making story boats – inspired by the exhibition Twelve Tall Tales.   We will be making paper boats and filling them with characters and narratives from newspapers, magazines and comics.  Create your own story to sail away in!

Tuesday 22 August
Zines workshop with artist Amy Sterly
A zine is kind of like a magazine but with a twist.  Zines are self-published and made using collage techniques and then photocopied to make as many as you like to give to your friends and family.  Make your own little story booklet and spread the word!

Tuesday 29 August
Recycled Creature Features with artist Amy Sterly
Inspired by the exhibition Twelve Tall Tales, Amy will be leading a workshop using design and creative thinking to transform discarded objects and scraps into unique and surreal creatures with a story to tell.
