About
For one week in the summer we will be closing the studio to our regular artists and welcoming in students. Learning in small groups of 6, students will have plenty of opportunity to receive one to one support as they learn their craft and begin to make new work.
Learn Lithography
This week of practical learning is open to artists and lithographers of all levels of experience. Both those new to the process, and practised lithographers who would like to develop their skills will be offered a supportive shared environment in which to further their knowledge.
The course will include an introduction to the basics of stone lithography.
Other aspects of the process will be taught during the week, such as transfer and photoplate lithography. Students will be encouraged to learn at their own pace and whilst some aspects of the teaching will be collaborative, each student will be individually mentored and guided. The aim of the course is to develop the practical skills of each student, and to offer the time and space in which to explore the slow art of lithography.
No previous knowledge of lithography is needed.
