About

The current exhibition was thrown open to an array of Wales based artists. Over 110 pieces of work have been received and the standard is high. The work on show is a variety of media including painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Established artists such as Denis Short and Elizabeth Haines are shown amongst emerging artists like Sarah Poland and Max Chan. The exhibition culminates in an auction on Sunday 27 July from 2pm. The Summer Open is a fundraiser organised by FOQ so prices are reasonable and every piece sold will help the future of the gallery. But that's not all — Glen Ibbiston and Hiroshi Ueta are publicising and showcasing Japanese calligraphy in conjunction with a graphic novel titled ‘Eclipse'. Both Ibbiston and Ueta have collaborated on the book to highlight the plight of homelessness in Japan and in the wider global community. The show is generating much discourse so be sure not to miss it. Open Monday-Saturday 10-5pm. All welcome to attend and admission is free!
