The Summer Exhibition at Twenty Twenty Gallery features Leigh Davis, Rosemary Vanns, Ray Sheldon, Celia Wilkinson, Dennis Farrell and Lisa Delarny.
This new exhibition at Twenty Twenty Gallery in Much Wenlock is based on shape, form, colour and line. A selection of abstract paintings by Leigh Davis, who has been having sell out success at London Art Fairs with Rowntree-Clarke, will feature at his 'home' gallery. Leigh's paintings are informed by his previous work as a potter, jeweller and modelmaker, and his love of the work of St Ives artists of the 20th century.
Ray Sheldon was also involved in ceramics but on a commercial, industrial scale. He became Art Director for Minton after working his way up from leaving school at 15 and starting work as a junior artist/designer. His love of pots still fires his inspiration for his still life paintings, that and a love of Morandi.
Rosemary Vanns trained at St Martins and was accepted at the Royal College of Art but was unable to take up the place. She worked in the textile industry for 20 years before returning to work as a full time painter and printmaker.
Also exhibiting: Celia Wilkinson, Dennis Farrell and Lisa Delarny.
