A series of week-long drawing courses for artists who wish to learn more about drawing from tutors at the RCA.
About
Each day is taught by a different tutor, taking a different aspect of drawing as their focus, to enable students to experience diverse approaches to drawing. These include experimental, anatomical, observation, contemplative, quick/storyboarding, and natural forms. See the Course Outline for a more detailed description of each day.
Classes are capped at 12–14 participants to allow for personal feedback and guidance from the tutor. Minimum age 17.
Week 1: 6–10 July 2015
Week 2: 13–17 July 2015
Week 3: 14–18 September 2015
Fees include tuition, models, easel, drawing board, and basic materials (paper, charcoal, ink, pencil). Students may choose to bring their own drawing materials. Students will need to bring sketch books and transport costs for museum visits to the National Gallery.
Coffee and tea will be available throughout the day in the studio. In addition, the RCA catering service will be running a café concept offering salads and sandwiches, open from 8.30am–4pm for refreshments and lunch.
You must enrol for the full week. Each course is full-time. Courses are non-residential and run from 10am to 5pm daily at the Drawing Studio, Royal College of Art, Kensington.
