We are serving you the seventh edition of the summer cinema at Pragovka, this time with the overarching theme of growth and fasting. This year we will be screening every Tuesday after dark in the Max Space hall in the Pragovka area (next to Permanent Pragovka). Free admission.

Christian is a bully and a man with a shady past who evokes a pit bull in his appearance. With one stage behind him, he starts the other as a warehouse helper, where his brightest prospect is the chance to operate a forklift. For someone who is barely managing his own life and vegetating at the social bottom, even this is a big challenge. Christian is taken in by veteran Bruno, who introduces him to a microcosm where life is lived according to specific rules and in the peculiar bubbles of each department. During one of his breaks, Christian meets the plain-spoken and charming Marion from the deli department. Love Between the Shelves is a fragile, civil and realistic romance from a place where you can't see the sky.
As a pre-film we will screen Pavlína Hůževková's short film Looking for a Poet (2023).
Is it possible to find a poet based on a poem written a quarter of a century ago? Filmed using the gonzo method, the film depicts the author's search for a poet who sent her a poem at the end of the millennium, which reappeared unexpectedly in her life years later. Will she be able to track him down or will she find something else entirely?
