About
Before the screening, pop into the gallery to see the current exhibitions. They are always open until the screening starts.
On June 29, at 9:15 p.m., we are screening the film Beuys.
Beuys. The man in the hat. 30 years after his death, he appears to be a visionary ahead of his time. Even then, he was trying to explain that "money must not be a commodity". He knew that trading money would undermine democracy. More than that: Beuys boxes, converses and explains art to a dead rabbit. Beuys conceived of art in the broadest possible context, which brought him to the heart of even today's relevant social debates. In his collage of countless visual and audio documents, Andres Veiel portrays the image of a unique man who broke boundaries with his immeasurable creativity. Beuys is not a classical portrait, but an intimate observation of a man, his art and his thought space - engaging, provocative and contemporary.
