About

Before the screening, pop into the gallery to see the current exhibitions. They are always open until the screening starts.

On June 15, at 9:30 p.m., we are screening the film Afterimage.

The last film by Polish cinema legend Andrzej Wajda is a masterful portrait of an independent artist's passionate struggle against Stalinist doctrines, a fight to the death... The main role was played by one of the most famous Polish actors Boguslaw Linda.

The year is 1945, Stalin's power controls Poland. The famous painter Wladyslaw Strzeminski refuses to compromise artistically and serve the doctrine of socialist realism. He is persecuted, expelled from the university, his paintings are torn down from the walls of museums. With the help of some of his students, he begins to fight against the Communist Party and becomes a symbol of artistic resistance against tyranny. The film represented Poland in the Oscar nominations. It premiered at Febiofest 2017. (Artcam)

Pre-film: Nosičhoven In da House (Viktor Strmiska, 2022)
The first opening of the author of Nasty Pictures - Nosičehoven, captured in a similarly nasty and sometimes a little funny way. (My Street Films)
