Surface Gallery are now seeking artists, filmmakers and creatives to submit short videos for a screening taking place at the end of July. Surface’s large project space will be transformed into a screening space for a two-day exhibition exploring emerging talents in contemporary film, video art and animation.
About
The theme of the exhibition is open! The only specification for submission is that films are suitable to be shown on a large screen projection, and be less than 10 minutes long. Our preferred format is mp4, however we will also accept writable DVDs. It is also possible to upload your video(s) to Youtube or Vimeo and send an email titled ''Summer Cinema'' with a link containing information about your video (title of work, duration, description) to info@surfacegallery.org, by Monday 27th of July 2015.
Please write a few sentences about yourself and your practice (around 200 words), cast and crew lists, list of previous and planned screenings. This may be used in the exhibition guide and may be edited slightly to balance the word count with other artists’.
There is no fee to submit entries, however a selection process will take place to be part of this event. Selected pieces will be given dedicated slots within the daily screening programme.
