Brightly colored quilts and textile figures are carried by a vocal crowd as a protest against sexism along Unter den Linden to the Gorki.

About

The symbolic references of the sculptures of Lara Schnitger's protest procession range from a church bell through spiritual totems to the garments of American suffragettes - women who fought for women's rights through passive resistance at the beginning of the 20th century. Form and colour are not used for their own sakes, rather every detail is an affirmation of the female body and its rights in a society that's still far from post-patriarchal.
