StudioBook is a group exhibition featuring work by 11 early-career UK based artists at Salford’s creative hub, ArtWork Atelier.
Signalling the conclusion of Mark Devereux Projects’s five-month artist development programme, the exhibition showcases new and recent work by each of the participating artists.
The exhibition will include the launch of a specially commissioned work through the University of Salford Art Collection and Mark Devereux Projects as part of the StudioBook programme. Manchester-based artist Darren Nixon was awarded this commission to create a brand new work; The Awkward Ambassador, which will then become part of the University’s Art Collection.
StudioBook is an Arts Council England funded project and has been produced and developed by Mark Devereux Projects. Participating artists within the programme are; Sarah Binless, Andrew Brooks, Jenny Cashmore, Valerie Driscoll, Sophie Lee, Dominic Mason, Tabitha Moses, Darren Nixon, Susie Olczak, Helen Stokes and Jacqueline Wylie. Special thanks go to the University of Salford Art Collection and Lindsay Taylor for providing the StudioBook commission, along with all the speakers and mentors that took part in the five-month programme.
