For this iteration of storefront:, Full Haus—an artist-run space in Los Angeles established by Becca Lieb and David Muenzer in 2015—presents the work of the Seeld Library.
About
Initiated by Los Angeles-based artist Jeffrey Stuker, the Seeld Library brings together a community of thinkers whose scholarship explores topics ranging from monstrous births in the 17th century and their anticipation of technological mediations of the body, the design of zoological gardens at the end of the 19th century, and research on the relationship between the development of modern medicine and colonial exploitation. For storefront:, the Seeld Library will display objects, ephemeral printed matter, and handwritten notes within a meticulously fabricated environment that resembles library storage and reflects the project’s unusual and probing approach to scholarship.Participating artists include Christopher Carlton, Thomas Hutton, Steve Kado, Clementine Keith-Roach, Lakshmi Luthra, Nicolas G. Miller, Christopher Page, and Jeffrey Stuker.
