Join the Queens Museum in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising with an activity-filled afternoon focusing on the LGBTQ+ activists, advocates and organizers in Queens.

About

As part of a citywide initiative, the Queens Museum has partnered with a variety of local organizations including Caribbean Equality Project, Colectivo Intercultural TRANSgrediendo, Lorena Borjas Community Fund, Queens Community House’s Generation Q and Queens Center for Gay Seniors, Queens Pride, Queens Theatre and The One-Minute Play Festival, and WorldPride’s Stonewall 50 AIDS Memorial Quilt Display Initiative to present an afternoon of storytelling, art making, and performances celebrating the LGBTQ+ community within Queens. Highlights include Drag Queen Story Hour, 50 Queer One-Minute Plays by 50 LGBTQ playwrights, and a live performance by Taranng Dance Troupe.
